What a national provider needs from a District office
You already know how to run a registered agent business. What you need in Washington is an office that behaves like your own, at a street address that satisfies the District, staffed by people who treat your process the way your own staff would.
- Professional presence
- A real office in a limestone building in Dupont Circle, at a street address that meets the District's registered office requirement. Deliveries are accepted in person during business hours. It is not a mailbox, not a virtual suite, and not a law office doing this on the side.
- Reliability
- Service of process is accepted by a person, logged, scanned, and delivered the same business day. Two people are trained on every account, so coverage does not depend on one person's calendar. Nothing waits over a weekend.
- Your systems or ours
- If you run a service of process portal, a ticketing queue, or a document intake, our staff work inside it with the access you set. If you would rather we did not, we deliver through our own secure channel in your naming and retention format. Either way you see the same record you would see from your own office.
- Your workflow
- Every provider has a written runbook: how process is accepted, how each document class is routed, who is called for time-sensitive matters, what the acknowledgement looks like, and how exceptions are escalated. We follow it as written and change it only when you change it.
- Staffed by people who live here
- Our team lives and works in the District. They know Superior Court and DLCP practice, recognize what arrives at the door, and can be at the Corporations Division counter on 4th Street SW when something has to be walked in.
- Discretion
- Provider relationships are confidential. Nothing on this site, in our office, or in our correspondence names the companies we serve, and your clients see your brand, not ours.
How an engagement runs
-
Accreditation review
Tell us about your company, your District volume, and how you work today. We confirm that you are an established registered agent provider and agree the scope. We do not take on individual companies or start-up resellers.
-
Terms and runbook
Wholesale terms are set for each provider and are not published. We draft the runbook from your procedures, you approve it, and it becomes the standard our staff are trained against.
-
Go-live
You file the registered office address under your own name with the District; we prepare what your filing team needs. Staff are trained on your account before the first document arrives.
-
Operate
Daily intake and routing, a monthly activity summary, and a named contact who knows your account and answers the phone.
